Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ClearedPath ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and ClearedPath Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. "You" refers to any individual accessing or using our Service.

Summary: Using ClearedPath means you accept these terms. If you disagree with anything, you can always contact us. We're happy to clarify.
02

Description of Service

ClearedPath is a career tool that helps you optimise your CV for applicant tracking systems (ATS), generate tailored CV content, cover letters and professional summaries, and track your job applications.

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. While we work hard to keep it reliable, we cannot guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access.

Our commitment: All generated content is based entirely on information you provide. We do not fabricate, invent or embellish your experience on your behalf.
03

User Accounts

To use certain features you must create an account. By creating one, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when registering
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at support@clearedpath.co.uk
  • Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 16 years of age to use this Service. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.

04

Acceptable Use

You agree to use ClearedPath only for lawful, personal job-seeking purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to generate false, misleading or fabricated CV content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure
  • Use automated tools, bots or scripts to scrape or extract data from the platform
  • Resell, sublicense or commercialise our outputs without our prior written consent
  • Use the Service in any way that harms, disrupts or impairs it for other users
  • Share your account credentials with third parties

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that breach these guidelines without notice.

05

Intellectual Property

The ClearedPath platform, including its design, code, branding, prompts and technology, is owned by ClearedPath Ltd and protected by applicable intellectual property law.

Your content

You retain full ownership of all career data, CVs and content you upload to ClearedPath. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely to deliver the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of anything you create using our tools.

Generated content

CV materials, cover letters and summaries generated for you are yours to use freely for personal job-seeking purposes. You may share, edit or distribute them without restriction.

06

Subscriptions and Payments

ClearedPath offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as stated at the time of purchase.

  • All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We never store your card details
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of your current period
  • Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment covering 12 months

We will give at least 30 days notice before any price increase affects existing subscribers. VAT at the standard UK rate (20%) applies where applicable.

07

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at support@clearedpath.co.uk.

How cancellation works: Your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period. At that point your account moves to the Free plan and no further charges are made.

We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a billing period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.

This does not affect any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law. Where a statutory right to a refund exists, we will honour it.

08

Limitation of Liability

ClearedPath is a tool designed to assist with your job search. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in interviews, job offers or employment. Outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

⚠️ Important: To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClearedPath Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of employment opportunity or income.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the three months immediately prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other matter for which liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

09

Termination

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@clearedpath.co.uk.

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you:

  • Materially breach these Terms of Service
  • Use the Service in a way that harms other users or the platform
  • Provide false information during registration

On termination, your access to the Service ends. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, including your rights to request deletion.

10

Privacy and Data

Your use of ClearedPath is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

By using the Service, you confirm you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. If you have questions about how we handle your data, contact us at privacy@clearedpath.co.uk.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements or new features. We will notify you of any material changes by email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Continued use of ClearedPath after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you may close your account before they take effect.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last revised.
12

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in another UK nation or EU member state, you may also be entitled to rely on mandatory consumer protection provisions of your local law.
